Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a potent skincare ingredient renowned for its multifaceted benefits. As a powerful antioxidant, it combats free radicals, shielding the skin from oxidative stress caused by UV exposure and environmental pollutants, thereby preventing premature aging. It inhibits melanin production, effectively fading dark spots, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation for a more even, luminous complexion. Additionally, vitamin C stimulates collagen synthesis, enhancing skin firmness and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. Its anti-inflammatory properties help calm redness and irritation while promoting wound healing. When incorporated consistently into a skincare regimen, vitamin C refines texture, imparts a healthy glow, and fortifies the skin’s barrier for a resilient, youthful appearance.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) offers multiple skin benefits. It strengthens the skin barrier, boosts hydration, reduces inflammation, and controls oil production .Additionally, it brightens the complexion by inhibiting melanin transfer, reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Its antioxidant properties protect the skin from environmental damage, such as pollution and UV rays, while also minimizing fine lines and wrinkles by boosting collagen production. Suitable for all skin types, it promotes a clearer, more even-toned, and youthful complexion.
Alpha Arbutin
Alpha arbutin is a next-generation skin brightener that delivers clinical-grade fading power without compromise. Unlike harsh depigmenting agents, this intelligent molecule selectively targets only overactive melanocytes, disrupting melanin synthesis at its source while leaving healthy skin untouched. Its unique glycosidic structure allows for deeper penetration with zero irritation, making it the gold standard for sensitive skin types seeking transformative brightening. Beyond spot correction, alpha arbutin functions as a smart antioxidant shield, neutralizing pigmentation triggers like UV-induced free radicals and pollution particles before they can darken skin. Dermatologists favor its dual-action approach—both preventing new discoloration while systematically erasing existing dark spots, acne scars, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation with unprecedented precision. The result? A luminosity that appears genetically inherent, not artificially bleached—just perfectly even, glass-like radiance.

Who can use Quinsia Vitamin C Antioxidant Serum?
Both men and women above the age of 20 can use this product.
Direction to use
Cleanse your face thoroughly. Apply 3-4 drops of serum to your face and neck using a dabbing motion. Before first use, it is highly recommended to do a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any reactions.
- Normal Skin
Usage: Apply 2-3 drops after cleansing and toning, before moisturizer (AM/PM).
- Dry Skin
Usage: Use in the AM after hydrating toners/serums; follow with a rich moisturizer to prevent dehydration.
- Oily/Acne-Prone Skin
Usage: Best in PM if sensitive; in AM, pair with sunscreen (Niacinamide controls sebum, Vitamin C may cause slight photosensitivity).
- Sensitive Skin
Usage: Start with 2x/week (PM only), gradually increasing if tolerated. Avoid mixing with strong actives (e.g., retinols, AHAs).
- Combination Skin
Usage: Apply to entire face in AM; focus extra hydration on dry zones (cheeks) afterward.
- Mature Skin
Usage: AM under sunscreen (boosts collagen, defends against aging). Layer with peptides or hyaluronic acid for plumping.
Patch Test
Before use a patch test is highly recommended.
Apply a small amount of the face wash to a discreet area, such as:
- Behind the ear
- Inner forearm
- Side of the neck (near the jawline)
- Avoid testing on active acne or broken skin.
Wait at least 24–48 hours to check for any delayed reactions.
FAQ
- 1. How should I store Vitamin C serum?
Ans: Keep it in a cool, dark place (away from sunlight). Some formulas require refrigeration (check the label). Use airtight, opaque bottles to prevent oxidation.
- Should I apply Vitamin C toner before or after exfoliating?
Ans: Apply it after exfoliation (if exfoliating) and before serums and moisturizers. This ensures optimal absorption of Vitamin C.
- Can pregnant and lactating mothers use this serum?
Ans: Alpha Arbutin-blended serums are generally considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as they offer a gentler alternative to stronger skin-lightening agents like hydroquinone. Alpha Arbutin works by gradually inhibiting melanin production without deep systemic absorption, minimizing risks to both mother and baby. When combined with pregnancy-safe ingredients like vitamin C (preferably in gentle forms such as magnesium ascorbyl phosphate) and niacinamide, this serum can help address hyperpigmentation, melasma, and uneven skin tone without harsh side effects. Most dermatologists and obstetric guidelines, including those from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), do not restrict its use at moderate concentrations (1-2%). However, it’s always advisable to patch-test first and consult with a healthcare provider before introducing new skincare products during pregnancy or breastfeeding, especially if you have sensitive skin or preexisting conditions. For extra caution, alternatives like azelaic acid—a proven safe and effective option for pigmentation—can also be considered.
